Internships & Career

Full-Time Teaching Positions

Paraclete Full-Time Teachers are AmeriCorps Volunteers who are committed to a year long service with us. We seek mission-driven individuals who strongly desire to leave our community better than they found it. As AmeriCorps members, our teachers receive AmeriCorps benefits if they qualify.

Individuals interested in residing and teaching at Paraclete please send a resume and cover letter to Molly Zollo, Program Director at principal@paraclete.org. A bachelor’s degree is required and conversational Spanish is a plus. We are no longer accepting applications at this time.

Once all of our slots are full, we welcome guest volunteer teachers who would like to teach a one-time class, activity, or mini-series of classes with our students pending Program Director approval.

AmeriCorps Teachers and Program Director pose for a picture with the Boston Police Department during a joint event (2019).

Internships Positions (During the Year)

Paraclete has several partnerships with colleges and universities in the Boston area. If you are associated with Boston College PULSE, BC High School, Lesley University Expressive Arts, Harvard Winternship, MIT Robotics, or UMass Boston Volunteers and wish to teach/volunteer at Paraclete, please contact your school representative initially to become involved.

This experience is reserved for current undergraduate college students preferably seeking a career related to education and working with urban youth. Interns will trained to plan lessons in English Language Arts/Math and plan daily field trips in the city with our students.

We are no longer accepting applications for our summer internship.

Please check back between April and June. Thank you for your interest!
