SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Who should apply?
- Students entering 5th through 7th grade who like to read - or don't like to read -- who want to be part of our Accelerated Reading Contest.
- No Book Reports!!!
How does it work?
- Students are given a computerized reading test to establish their reading level.
- They check out our library of books to find a book they will like with a reading level just right for them.
- After they have read a book at home or during book club time at the Paraclete, they take a test on the computer to see how well they understood their book. The computer gives them points and keeps track of their reading record.
- Prizes for everyone.
