Paraclete Academy teachers are a unique group of individuals. They are dedicated to making a difference to the children of the South Boston community while looking for an opportunity to acquire expertise in the fields of education and community service. They are community leaders, inspiring leadership in the students they teach.
Experienced educators provide weekly coaching helping Parclete teachers to hone their educational knowledge, while daily interaction with the Paraclete students provides practical experience and know how. The Paraclete Foundation’s activities in Rwanda broaden and enrich their world view while providing a global network.
They provide invaluable educational enrichment to the students of this low-income community, while acquiring skills and experience that set them apart from their peers. The work is demanding but worthwhile. Many Paraclete teacher alumni go on to prestigious graduate schools. All describe it as a wonderful experience and pivotal to their current success.
