The Paraclete Foundation opened its doors in 1997. It offers a diverse and exciting learning community for South Boston youth in their out-of-school hours. In 2002 it reached beyound its urban neighborhood to Rwanda and launched an initiative to build the Maranyundo school for girls in Nyamata. This school now has have its own independent non-profit board.

The Foundation also has a Rwandan Connections program that supports the Benebikira Congregation and a scholarship program for the Byimana School of Science in Rwanda.
